Emmerdale Suni's homophobic attackers' downfall 'sealed' as they frame Ethan

Emmerdale viewers think they have figured out Suni Sharma's attackers' downfall.

During Thursday's episode, Suni was rushed to hospital after a homophobic attack and Ethan Anderson was arrested after being framed by one of the evil attackers, Mike, in a sick twist.

Prior to the harrowing scenes, Suni headed off on a night out with Gabby Thomas and Ethan, where Nicky, whom Suni had recently dumped, showed up and the two reconciled in sweet scenes.

However, prior to the reconciliation, Gabby had been chatting to a man called Mike and upon spotting ex Nicky, who had previously used her, she confronted him at the bar with Mike offering to intervene.

As Nicky and Suni later shared a sweet kiss after making up, homophobic Mike decided to confront the duo, where they hit back at the thug. However, upon leaving the venue, Mike and his cronies followed the couple as they continued to make homophobic remarks.

Mike and his gang then attacked Suni while Nicky was restrained, powerless to help. The attack only stopped when a horrified Ethan and Gabby spotted the incident. However, things took an even more harrowing turn when the police showed up and a smug Mike walked over.

Mike then accused Ethan of having a knife, leaving Ethan horrified and baffled over the accusation, as well as Gabby. Mike told the police to search the area for the knife, even suggesting they ask Gabby, who vehemently denied the accusation.

Getting frustrated, innocent Ethan walked towards a smirking Mike, declaring: "You're making this up, tell them!" to which the police then arrested Ethan in a shocking and unfair twist.

Taking to Twitter, now X, soap watchers were quick to point out Mike's downfall, suggesting that the police look for CCTV which will prove Ethan had no knife. One person said: "Ethan better not get the blame for that it was that creep Mike isn’t there cctv around there !! #Emmerdale!"

A different account put: "oh c'mon, CCTV, plenty of witnesses???? #emmerdale", another confused viewer pointed out: "So there’s no CCTV in the area, then?! That copper… Pathetic #Emmerdale" while another soap watcher added: "There must be CCTV around. Oh wait a minute....it won't be working #Emmerdale."
