Chris Martin's ex Gwyneth Paltrow holds hands with current girlfriend Dakota Johnson

This week Dakota Johnson was sweetly seen smiling hand-in-hand with her rumored fiancé Chris Martin's ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow.

Dakota and Gwyneth proved that ex-partners can be friends as they were seen holding hands in a precious new snap over the recent Thanksgiving weekend. In the adorable post, the two actresses - who both shared a romance with Coldplay musician Chris - were seen happily smiling for the camera as they were seen bundled up and headed off for a wintertime stroll together.

Gwyneth spent the holiday with longtime partners Chris and Dakota along with her two children she shares with the 46-year-old singer. In the snaps, Gwyneth was all smiles as she held onto her ex-husband's new girlfriend's hand sporting an adorable grey winter beanie and furry army green winter coat. Dakota looked equally as pleased to be there as she softly smiled for the camera wearing a navy blue baseball cap, black winter coat, and dark wash jeans.

Gwyneth and Chris previously shared a 10-year-long marriage and had two kids together before ultimately deciding to divorce in July of 2016. The summer after their split, Gwyneth revealed in an essay published in Vogue that the reason for the breakdown of their love was that they both put in no effort to repair their relationship and admitted they just "didn't quite fit together".

During an interview with People earlier this month, the Goop founder spoke about her ex-husband Chris and his relationship with their children praising his fun-loving spirit. She told the news outlet: "He has this sweet child-like spirit, and I love that he will be like, 'Let's go jump in the ocean' when it's 58 degrees. He always wants to do these fun adventures with them and activities," she added: "He has a real sweetness. And so he brings that to the way that he parents them."

Since Gwyneth and Chris' amicable split, the pair continue to co-parent together and spend time with their new partner. After their breakup, Gwyneth went on to marry writer and director Brad Falchuk in 2018. The lovebirds recently celebrated their wedding anniversary together after five years together.

Chris has also moved on and has been dating Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota for the past six years. And the longtime couple have recently sparked engagement rumours as the 34-year-old actress was recently spotted wearing a sparkling emerald ring on her ring finger in October of this year.
