Pink's husband Carey Hart works out and shares update after surgery
Former professional freestyle motocross competitor Carey Hart has defiantly shown off a chest catheter he has been fitted with while recovering from surgery.
The 47-year-old athlete, who is married to chart-topping singer P!nk, aka 43-year-old Alecia Hart, underwent spinal fusion surgery in December.
Taking to social media ahead of the weekend, Carey proved he is recovering well - and ensuring he is keeping himself in tip top condition - as he posed for a gym selfie.
The sport star whipped off his top and grabbed a kettle bell to perform some exercises while a photographer snapped away at him.
The image, shared on Friday, showed Carey holding the piece of gym equipment while fans could see tubing and tape on his chest.
Pink made brave admission about how she saved failing marriage to Carey HartSharing the snap online, Carey added a light-hearted caption that began: “Chest tube baby,” alongside a string of rolling-on-the-floor laughing emoji faces.
He explained: “My old & infected self is still getting after it.”
And he went on: “1/2 way through my antibiotic treatment, and @foxmoto couldnt have dropped their work out line at a better time for me!
“Check out all their tech gear for men and women!!! Stuff is legit.”
And in an inspiring call to fans and followers, he added: “No excuses people, you got this. Get after it, give it 100%.”
Carey, who is father to 11-year-old daughter Willow and six-year-old son Jameson and has been married to P!nk since 2006, had undergone spinal fusion surgery in December last year.
His December 2022 procedure came a year after he had undergone two surgeries to replace a disc in his neck and spine.
Carey had previously explained to fans that he had been forced to get surgery after doctors feared he had compressed his lower spine multiple times thanks to his motorcars career.
And he told Rolling Stone magazine back in 2014: "I've broken everything you could imagine.
"I can't tell you how many times I've been laying in the dirt, something broken, bone sticking out, just thinking 'Why the f**k do I keep doing this?'
This Morning fans fume as Pink 'snubbed' by TV favourite returning from break"But you go to the hospital, you get stitched up, or bolted back together, and you go home and heal, and eventually you start to forget the injury and start to miss your motorcycle."
And last month he hinted he preferred broken bones to his chest catheter, telling fans online: "I got this tunneled catheter installed in my chest. Now for the next 41 days I have to inject antibiotics to knock this sucker out.
"I can handle a bone sticking out of my skin, but this catheter is definitely nerve racking. Wonder if I can push some caffeine through it? Just kidding."
