Benidorm star Hannah Hobley cut a completely different appearance to that of her on-screen character Chantelle Garvey, when she returned to the Spanish city with her husband and daughter for a family holiday.

Fans of the show will remember Hannah, 35, as the feisty teen mum in the hit comedy series, who donned shoulder length auburn hair and velour tracksuits. Now the mum of one is seen sporting long brunette tresses and a slender frame. Sharing a few holiday snaps with fans on social media, Hannah is seen laughing while having her picture taken in a black crop top showing off her figure, teamed with a matching knee-length cardigan and a pair of patterned shorts.

Standing in front of the well-known hotel while enjoying her trip down memory lane, Hannah captioned the picture saying: "It’s EXACTLY THE SAME! Just back with a different baby this time…" And her fans were quick to comment on her post. One said: "Wow can’t believe it’s you !! You sure grew up to be one stunning lady after I used to watch you all the time."

Another added: "Great pick and congrats on the baby, miss that show." Meanwhile a third penned: "You look so different to when you were on Benidorm. I get you were younger but still... Looking good and no baby Coolio this time. Wonder what that baby is doing now hes all grown up??"

A fourth commented: "Such a shame the series ended, I loved watching the program." Benidorm first aired in 2007 until 2018 when it was axed. And clearly upset with the news, show creator Derren Litten took to social media to vent his disappointment. He tweeted at the time: "Crazy to think Wednesday will be the last episode of Benidorm! I created the series over 11 years ago, wrote it, guest starred in it and ended up directing it. It's difficult to think what else there is to do! Thank you for watching! #MuchasGracias"

And among all the messages from fans, EastEnders star Shane Richie, who guest starred as Sammy Valentino waded in and said: "Sunday is a day of rest I refuse to get angry ....inhale,exhale Sammy , just breath you big lump of beautiful gorgeousness ...F**k it !!!! Nooooooooooo !" But in a dramatic turn of events, an ITV spokesperson confirmed at the time that the future of the show was still up in the air and hadn't been cancelled.

They said: "No decision has been made regarding any further series of Benidorm." Hannah had paid tribute to the show to mark it 15th anniversary as she posted a picture of the Garvey family walking through the resort. She wrote: "Yesterday marked 15 years since the first episode of Benidorm aired… The show that changed my life!"
