Princess Andre says she is considering following in her famous parents’ footsteps and featuring in the cast of a future season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The 16-year-old social media influencer is the daughter of chart topping singer Peter Andre, 50, and 45-year-old glamour model Katie Price. Fans of ITV’s long-running reality show I’m A Celeb will be well aware Peter and Katie joined the cast way back in 2004 and viewers saw the first sprouts of their high profile relationship.

The duo went on to date once out of the camp and ultimately marry the following year – with Princess arriving in June 2007, two years after the arrival of her brother, Junior. But love did not last for Peter and Katie as they ended up splitting in May 2009 and their divorce was finalised four months later.

Now Princess is grown up and has begun dipping her own toes into life in the spotlight – landing endorsement deals thanks to her impressive social media reach – she has been considering new ways to boost her own profile. And it seems a stint in the jungle is high on her list of ambitions as she would like to copy her parents and enter the reality show camp.

Princess does, however, admit she hasn’t watched much of the 2004 season of I’m A Celebrity that her parents star on. And the fact she is scared of creepy crawlies could also hinder her chances on the show if she were to ever sign up.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the teen said that I’m A Celeb is the one reality shoe she would consider doing. She explained: “It’s so funny. I actually would consider doing it, but I don’t know how well I’d do because I can’t stand bugs.

“But I think it would be a good experience. And actually that’s where my parents were, so that’s kind of how I’m here. I’ve seen bits of footage of my parents on there, but I haven’t sat and watched the whole thing. So it would be quite cool to go on it and just see what it was like for them.”

The choice could be music to proud dad Peter’s ears – as he has long forbidden his daughter from considering appearing on another popular ITV reality show; Love Island. The Mysterious Girl singer revealed back in 2019 Princess had asked him if she could appear on the show – and he was adamant that she could not.

He explained at the time: "She said to me: 'Would you ever let me go on Love Island?' I said: 'When they start doing Love Island based on priests and nuns and doing sermons on Sundays you can go on.' I don't mean to be strict. They get told everything by their friends anyway."

Peter doubled down on his view in 2021, saying: "Princess has said she wants to do it but I still haven’t changed my mind about that. Presenting it? Yes. A contestant? Not so sure!"

But in 2022, it seemed his opinion had softened and he admitted he would let her, and even Junior, take part in the show. He said: "I’ve sort of said to them, 'I'd love you to try and present it rather than be a contestant', but then again, I've always said there's some great people who have come from the show. Look at [2019 runner up couple] Molly Mae [Hague] and Tommy [Fury] – they've done so well, and they've stayed together. So there is a lot of good things that come from it."
