As soon as November hits, I like to make my house feel as cosy as possible, and while I don't have a fireplace to light, I have found a candle that gives me that same snug feeling.

Woodwick candles, just as the name suggests, have wicks made of wood so when burnt they mimic the sound of firewood crackling. I have the Woodwick Vanilla Bean candle and as soon as it is lit, it transforms the space into a relaxing and tranquil place. The scent itself is divine, and the golden hue is comforting, but it's the unique crackling sound that really sets it apart from the rest.

Usually priced at £34.99 for a large ellipse jar, as part of Black Friday, it has now been discounted to £20.66 on Amazon and at Boots. You can also shop alternative jar sizes for even less, with the medium jar down from £20.99 to £13.99 at Boots.

The Woodwick candle ellipse jar in Vanilla Bean has a burning time of 50 hours, and the unusual jar shape creates a more consistent fragrance thanks to the wider opening producing a fully melted wax pool. I find that it fills the room with a long-lasting, warm scent, and the dancing flame looks beautiful.
