New Look's winter coat looks straight out of The Holiday and has 25% off

Cameron Diaz's style throughout The Holiday is noughties winter chic at its finest

With Christmas looming, many of us will have already broken the ban on festive films until December 1 and with The Holiday on Netflix and Amazon Prime, it's probably one of the first you will have watched. And while the wholesome message of the movie is mostly why we watch it, I'm pretty obsessed with Cameron Diaz's wardrobe throughout. Especially her fabulous coats.

One in particular could be mistaken for New Look's Blue Vanilla Cream Leather-Look Faux Fur Trim Belted Coat, which just so happens to have 25% off in the brand's ongoing Black Friday sale. It's currently £48.75 down from £65 at newlook.com and £40 at Debenhams.

If you need your memory rejigging, a brief synopsis is The Holiday is about two unlucky in love women who want an escape from their every day life and find themselves swapping houses for the holiday season - one is in LA, the other is in a quaint cottage in the English countryside. Subsequently, spoiler, they find love and live happily ever after.

In the scene where Jude Law takes Cameron Diaz's character on a fancy date at a country house, Amanda turns up in jeans, knee high brown leather boots, a white scarf and a fur-lined beige and cream coat that falls just above her knees. It was - and remains to be - so glamorous.

Now, this New Look coat isn't completely identical to the pricey-looking one from the film. While is has a similar finish, it is shorter, finishing a little below the hips, and has a waist-cinching belt that flatters your figure. Plus, as opposed to suede, it has a leather look finish. But it's equally as gorgeous. .

And shoppers who have purchased this coat are in total agreement, as one said: "The coat was beautiful and extremely soft."

With it being a classic look, this isn't the only coat that looks to have inspired by the Christmas blockbuster wardrobe as this H&M jacket is shearling fur-lined and is another alternative for Amanda's cream number - what's even better about this coat is it's reversible. It's also on sale from £64.99 to £52.

Threadbare's Lois longline aviator coat with borg trims in stone is also discounted on ASOS from £75 to £45 and matches the longline style and fur trim as Amanda's coat.
