Sam Thompson's friend has warned of a "problem" he might have with his co-stars as they share fears he'll ruffle feathers on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The Made in Chelsea star has been an excitable figure in camp after joining the star-studded line-up last Sunday on ITV. But now people close to the reality TV veteran tell The Mirror the mood could easily change with one stand-out issue.

Sam joins Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn, This Morning's Josie Gibson, First Dates' Fred Sirieix, YouTuber Nella Rose, former politician Nigel Farage, food critic Grace Dent, JLS star Marvin Humes, EastEnders legend Danielle Harold and Hollyoaks star Nick Pickard. The group are seemingly getting on well – so what could possibly go wrong?

Sam's pal Jake Quickenden, a former I'm A Celebrity runner-up, told us some of the potential run-ins his mate will likely face in the near future. Speaking exclusively to us after watching his friend touch down in Australia, the former X Factor singer shares concerns Sam will start to "annoy" his campmates with his larger-than-life personality.

"Sam could kind of have a bit of a problem if he annoys anyone," Jake explained. "He's a bit like me in that aspect, like he's very... he's very loud. He's very excitable." Speaking on Sam's progress so far, Jake said he hopes his pal "calms down".

He added: "I'm excited for him to kind of like calm down and for people to see just some chat. I think he will definitely do really well in the jungle." Another friend of Jake's is This Morning star Josie, he explains: "It's nice to be able to see her relaxed."

It comes after Sam, who fronted a Channel 4 documentary earlier this year about his Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) journey, revealed that during meal times he falls into an 'eating trance' as he finds it hard to talk to others while eating a meal. He likes to cook meals at home with his girlfriend, former Love Islander Zara McDermott, 26, but the couple then put their own headphones on and watch something different while eating their creation because Sam is "in a zone".

Before entering the jungle, Sam said: "We sit next to each other [while eating]. I have this thing where I like her there, but not in my face when I'm eating. I think this is an ADHD thing, but I'm so zoned into something and so I can't speak when I'm eating. I will put a YouTube video on when I'm eating, because I want to zone into what I'm doing and when I'm finished I go into this trance, it's like an eating trance. I do it in restaurants as well, where I struggle to talk when I'm in a restaurant."

Sam might have to change some of his eating habits while he is in camp, after admitting he likes a post-meal belch, and Zara insisted he loves to chomp loudly on his grub. Talking previously on the My Favourite Takeaway podcast, he said: "I will admit that I'm an after-meal burper. That can't be nice for the girlfriend, I've got to be honest with you."

Asked if Sam makes weird noises when he eats, Zara replied: "Constantly. One thing about Sam is he eats with his mouth open. He's a chomper. It kills me, but I think when he has his headphones in he's obviously got the noise cancelling on or whatever it is, so he doesn't understand how much he's chomping." Sam could also struggle in any eating trials in camp – because he normally likes to mash all his food down before eating it.

Zara explained: "He chops up all of his food before he eats it. So, literally, everything is into small, child-like bite-size pieces. He then mixes and mashes it all together into one, big piece of slosh, and gets a spoon [and eats it]."
