Kim Woodburn has jumped to defend Nigel Farage after he was "body shamed" by Lorraine Kelly over his appearance on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Making a comment about Farage's face, Lorraine divided viewers on her self-titled TV show as she spoke about the former MEP's journey in Australia. Discussing the ex-UKIP leader alongside Edwina Currie, Lorraine said: "Is he only 59? I thought he was a hell of a lot older than that. "That's astonishing, that just shows you get the face you deserve."

The comment sparked fury on social media, with viewers accusing the presenter of being "rude and nasty" and "man and body shaming". Now How Clean Is Your House and Celebrity Big Brother star Kim has weighed in on the awkward ordeal.

Kim discussed the matter on GB News with TV presenter Jeni Barnett, who she told to "shut up" after the guest defended Lorraine, saying she "hasn't got a nasty bone in her body". Kim blasted: "She's a stupid stupid woman, she's like a child in a playground. He is in there. He's doing a splendid job. He's polite and courteous.

She continued: "He's done the trial and got every star. Leave him alone. Lorraine Kelly - you ain't all that dear. But the point is you are not supposed to be scrutinised for your face or your bum or your knockers or your…what is all that? Are we children?"

Further slamming Jeni, Kim concluded: "I hope she scrutinises you dear - I wonder what you’d say then. Wait till it happens to you and I bloody well hope it does. You deserve it for backing Lorraine - she was rude and nasty."

Shortly after Lorraine's comments, viewers took to X, formally Twitter, to air their thoughts. With one TV fan complaining: "So I turn over from #Lorraine to get away from the man shaming/body shaming, and they’re doing the exact same thing on #JeremyVine. It’s like people have never seen a backside before. Grow up!"

Another commented: "She's just nasty, isn't she? Try saying stuff like that about a woman and see how far you get." While a third blasted: "I'm not a fan of Nigel but Lorraine that comment was below the belt. You never would say that about a woman #Lorraine."

Farage's time in the jungle hasn't exactly been smooth sailing and only last night viewers praised Nella after she confronted him over his anti-immigration views. She asked him "Why don't black people like you?". It's not the first time Farage has been quizzed by his fellow campmates, only minutes into Sunday's launch This Morning's Josie Gibson made a Brexit jibe, while First Dates star Fred Sirieix questioned his election tactics in another episode.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
