Homebase sells real 7ft Christmas trees for only £20 this Black Friday

There's something about having a real Christmas tree in your home during the festive season.

The smell, the shape, the thrill of choosing your ideal specimen. I don't even mind the needles dropping - it's all part of the tradition, isn't it?

Normally a decent-sized real tree can set you back £50 or more and, while you might find the occasional bargain at a supermarket, I've found the foliage can often be quite brittle, and they never look as good once they're opened out.

The sizes on offer vary from 6ft to 7ft, so make sure you measure your space and bear in mind real trees can often be quite wide. You'll also need to buy a stand, if you haven't got one already.

Also bear in mind stocks won't last very long at this price, so jump on the click and collect button and reserve yours as soon as possible.

At £20 for a tree this size, it's already cheaper than any fake tree you'll find - and it can be recycled into compostable products in the new year.
