Sports Illustrated model Nicole Williams English says people love her 'flaws'
Sports Illustrated model Nicole Williams English believes her success and appeal is because she is happy to show off her “flaws”.
The 40-year-old shocked the world of modelling when she became the first pregnant woman to appear in the iconic 2023’s magazine issue. She insists that she never wants to serve up the industry standard presentation of being the “perfect woman”.
Nicole admitted that her public appeal and success on social media is by being real, showing her silly humour - and even being covered in baby sick. She said that people love seeing “real life and real problems” as she balances her glamorous life and then struggles with husband, former NFL player Larry and 10 month old daughter India.
Speaking at the Sports Illustrated Club SI Formula 1 party in Las Vegas, English told The U.S Mirror exclusively: “It’s so important when you have a platform, like I do, to not only show how purpose everything is, but to also show what's actually real and going on behind closed doors because that is the most relatable.

She flaunted her blossoming bump (Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Party) “I care so deeply about all of my followers because when they wake up in the morning, they come to see what I'm doing, they're following me, they're commenting, they come to me for advice and a good laugh," she added. "For me to just be open and honest and funny and have some comedic relief to life even when I'm stressed and I haven't slept and I have throw-up all over me to show that side of me, it just makes me feel real.
“And that is the most important thing for me is to show people that I'm real. You can easily go on social media and just get so side-tracked and so down on yourself because you see somebody else living this perfect life. That doesn't make me feel good. And following people who seem to be so perfect only goes so far."
English spoke as she hosted a prestigious Sports Illustrated's Club SI Formula 1 exclusive party with fellow SI model Brooks Nader on the world famous Strip. Living Legends and Authentic shareholders, Shaquille O'Neal and David Beckham also hosted the race viewing party over the weekend.
