Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden's split - Instagram snub to taking off rings
Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have confirmed they have decided to end their marriage after months of speculation.
The ITV soap actors posted a joint statement on Instagram, in which they asked for privacy and told fans they remained focussed on their three children. She wrote: "It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate.
"We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time. C x," she added. Matthew shared the same message on his Instagram Story, signing off with "M".
After meeting on the set of Emmerdale, the couple began dating in 2007 and announced their engagement in 2009 before marrying in a secret ceremony in 2018. However, after months of speculation, the couple have finally confirmed their split. Here's everything we know about their break-up...

Charley and Matthew began dating after the latter joined the ITV soap as David Metcalfe in 2006. Debbie Dingle star Charley had been on the soap since 2002 as Emmerdale icons Cain and Charity's daughter.

Matthew got down on one knee and popped the question to Charley on Christmas Day in 2009. The couple subsequently welcomed their first son, Buster, in April 2010.
The Emmerdale couple shocked fans when after six years together, in 2013, the couple announced they had called time on their relationship. A spokesperson confirmed at the time: "Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have today confirmed that they have separated."
Reunion and secret marriage
In 2015, Charley and Matthew confirmed they had reunited before the David Metcalfe star told fans their break-up "was never a permanent split". He said: "We just needed some time apart. Sometimes life just gets on top of you.
"We had a terrible two-year-old at the time and needed time to look at what we had but it was the best thing we could have done. Now I’m maybe more thoughtful, more romantic."
Months after announcing their reunion, the couple confirmed they were expecting a second child and their son Bowie Grey was born in December 19 that year.
In 2018, Charley and Matthew surprised their friends and family by tying the knot in a secret ceremony. Their loved ones were invited to Charley's 30th birthday party, which was in fact their wedding.
Their 100 guests didn't realise the true nature of the event until they arrived at Ripley Castle in Harrogate. A year later, they announced they were expecting their third child and Ace was born in July 2019.
Split rumours
Earlier this month, Matthew fuelled rumours he and Charley were going through a rocky patch when it emerged he had unfollowed his wife on Instagram.
At the time, a source told The Sun: "Charley and Matthew were in very different places in their lives when they first got together. Three kids later and with new careers in the mix, everything has changed and perhaps they are no longer the unit they once were."
It came after Charley was pictured without her wedding ring. Later in the month, Matthew was spotted without his wedding ring after an appearance on Channel 4's Steph's Packed Lunch.
