Axl Rose has been accused of sexual assault.

The 61-year-old Guns N' Roses frontman, who have sold more than 45million albums in the US alone, has been accused of sexual assault and battery in an incident dating back to 1989.

Court documents obtained by The Mirror allege that the musician "used his fame, status, and power as a celebrity and performer in the music industry to gain access to manipulate, control, and violently sexually assault [the victim]." The pair allegedly met at a nightclub where Axl invited her back to his hotel room. However, the survivor claims Rose wouldn't invite her friend who he allegedly said was "not hot enough".

Further, she claimed Axl "provided cocaine, champagne, and alcohol" and, additionally, believed that Axl could have been taking lithium at the time. In the complaint, she claims "he pushed [her] against the wall and kissed her," but she was open to "sleeping with him if things progressed".

However, the survivor said she became "uncomfortable" after Axl requested "to clear the suite of everyone except [the victim]" and another model and "soon found herself in Rose’s bedroom in bed with Rose, [Riki] Rachtman, and the other model. Rose began kissing and having sex with the other model. "

The survivor believed Axl to be "encouraging group sex" which she was not comfortable with. The court documents explain: "She had been open to sex with Rose but had not agreed to, and was not interested in, having group sex."

After an alleged angry outburst from the musician, the survivor was "terrified." She claims Axl "grabbed [her] by her robe and knocked her to the floor in the hallway outside Rachtman's bedroom door" before 'grabbing her by the hair,' causing her "knees to bleed from scraping on the rug."

As for the impact the survivor claims this had on her life, she reports "symptoms akin to post-traumatic stress disorder." According to the court documents, the survivor has since been "diagnosed with anxiety and depression because of Rose's assault." Moreover, she said it has had an adverse effect on her career.

In the complaint, she did not specify the amount she is seeking, but asks for "relief." She is seeking "compensatory damages, pain and suffering, punitive damages, attorney feels, the cost and disbursements of this action, and such other further relief as this Court deems necessary just and proper."

Axl's attorney Alan Gutman denied the allegations on the musician's behalf. He told The Mirror: "Simply put, this incident never happened. Notably, these fictional claims were filed the day before the New York State filing deadline expires."

The Mirror contacted Riki Rachtman for comment.
