Annabel Giles passed away on Monday at the age of 64.

It was announced that the mum-of-two died on Monday morning after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in July of this year. She was diagnosed with stage four Glioblastoma, a fast-growing and highly aggressive malignant brain tumour, and underwent "countless radiotherapies" as well as brain surgery.

Her children Molly McQueen and Tedd Giles released a statement announcing she had passed away. The statement read: "It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our incredible mother, Annabel Giles, who passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon at Martlets Hospice in Hove. In July, Mum was diagnosed with a stage 4 Glioblastoma, a fast-growing and highly aggressive malignant brain tumour.

"In the four months that followed, she displayed remarkable resilience and strength, despite undergoing brain surgery and countless radiotherapies. In her final weeks, she was passionate about raising awareness for Glioblastoma, embodying her lifelong commitment to helping others.

"Mum was truly one of a kind, an enigma to those privileged to share her life. True to her nature, she kept spirits high and maintained her quick wit until the very end. Her humour and laughter will leave us inspired to live life to the fullest, just as she always did".

They added: "We thank you for your love and support and kindly request that you respect our privacy at this challenging time. Annabel was best known for co-presenting ITV's Posh Frocks and New Trousers also previously appeared as well as appearing on Have I Got News For You, Through the Keyhole, Noel's House Party and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

She took part in the 13th series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity, entering the jungle on day five and finishing the show in 12th place. In 2018, Annabel returned to TV as she took on a role in ITV show Our Shirley Valentine Summer.

She shared one daughter with her ex-husband and Ultravox lead singer Midge Ure, who she was married to between 1985 and 1989. Annabel also had a son named Tedd, who was born in 1998.

Annabel didn't post on her social media after being diagnosed with cancer. Her last post came on her birthday in May when she said she was having a "lovely day".

On May 20, alongside a photo of other celebs she shared her birthday with, Annabel wrote: "I’m in good company!!! Having a lovely day and the sun has come out especially #dontask #beatlesage #shutup." She shared her birthday with the likes of Cher, Louis Theroux, Busta Rhymes, Tina Hobley and Jessica Raine.
