Charlotte Crosby has taken another swipe at Geordie Shore after leaving the show for good.

It looks like the mum-of-one won't be returning to her roots as she is focused being a parent and being on more family friendly shows, including her own BBC reality programme Charlotte in Sunderland. Despite knowing that the reality show "kick-started" her career, the 33-year-old has no plan on going back after quitting this summer.

Charlotte's most recent comments come after it was revealed her ex boyfriend Gary Beadle would be making a return to the iconic MTV show. She first joined the programme back in 2011, but has since said she is no longer in that "era" of her life.

Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: "I’m a woman with a child, I’m a mother. It’s just not the era that I'm in anymore. I don’t need to go into reality TV shows where I need to be arguing with people, I just don’t need to do that anymore."

The mum-of-one added: "I spent 10 years of my life doing that. I can make Charlotte in Sunderland and have happy times with my family and do real grown-up things and go through different life challenges and face different things on camera [without the drama]."

Charlotte opened up about making the decision to quit Geordie Shore for good after an argument erupted during filming over the summer. She was in Cyprus with the cast and her now fiancé Jake Ankers and their daughter Alba when the row started.

When she was just two days into filming, Charlotte realised she made a mistake. She said: "It just ended up going so terribly wrong. I don't know why but the whole series, I later discovered, was a bit weird. I'm sad for loads of reasons. I'm sad that I took Alba and Jake, my family, into a show that I loved so much and it went so badly wrong.

"I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt an immense amount of guilt for not knowing better. I just thought we were going to have such a good time." This comes after it was revealed that Gary is in talks to return to Geordie Shore himself after his heartbreaking split from wife Emma McVey.

Gary and Charlotte certainly had their fair share of ups and downs while they were on the programme. The pair went through an on-off relationship throughout multiple series which caused plenty of drama. Gary is now once again single after he announced that he and wife Emma had called time on their relationship.

Replying to a Q&A question which read "It’s personal, but are you & Emma still together? You 4 are a lovely family to follow!", Gary replied: "Hey no we actually separated about 3 weeks ago we are still friends there is no bad blood or anything and we have worked out the best way of doing it for the kids which for me and Emma is always gunna be the most important thing."
