No makeup look is complete without a swipe of mascara to make those eyes pop, however with so many out there, finding the right one can prove to be a tricky task.

If you’re after long, effortless lashes without the need for extensions, this budget-friendly mascara which has racked up thousands of five-star reviews from beauty buffs has been dropped to just £5.70 in Amazon’s Black Friday sale.

Originally £12.99, and now down to £5.70, Max Factor's popular False Lash Effect Mascara has been praised for its volumising formal that ‘doesn’t clump, flake or smudge.’

The thick brush is combined with patented 'Liquid Lash' technology, meaning you'll achieve that false lash effect in just one swipe.

Why do I love this one so much? It's water based so it's easy to remove without needing make up remover. the brush makes it really easy to apply and it makes my lashes look both fuller and longer and it lasts throughout the day.”

A second added: “Love it, great brush and builds up brilliantly and separates each lash. Wish I’d tried this sooner. Bought a few different brands recently which I’ve not been happy with but now I’ve got this one, I won't be going back.”

While a third said: “Doesn't clump, easy to apply, lasts for hours and removes easily.”

While many fans absolutely 'swear by' the affordable mascara, some we're left feeling quite disappointed with one customer saying: "Brush difficult to use so less ‘extension’ that with other similarly priced mascaras. The ‘bristles’ are so short. Not clumpy though!"

A second wrote: "Was very impressed that this is waterproof and lasts all day, doesn’t smudge or go flaky and means it also stays out of eyes (super useful for hay fever) but doesn’t make my lashes look much longer or lifted."

Another favourite amongst beauty fans is Maybelline's Sky High Mascara which many have compared premium brands like Tarte, Clinique and Urban Decay which can sell for a whopping £23 per tube.

Its washable formula is infused with bamboo extract and fibres for long, full lashes that never get weighed down, and it’s also suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers without causing irritation. Best of all? It's also on sale for Black Friday for just £7.75.
