Cheryl 'ready for comeback' and hopes returns to spotlight could lead to romance
Cheryl reportedly has high hopes for 2024, with the Girls Aloud singer, 40, said to be plotting a return to the pop world alongside looking for love.
Following a few years focused on raising her young son and dodging the spotlight, it seems Cheryl is ready to "step back into it" and get back on the stage once again. Not only that, the mum-of-one is thought to have "her heart set on acting" and has already started working on a book in order to take back control of her story.
Cheryl's rumoured plans to revitalise her career come as a Girls Aloud reunion is almost all but confirmed. Both Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have shared similar teasers on social media over recent days, with an official announcement expected by the band by the end of this week.
Not only does the former X Factor judge have big dreams and goals when it comes to her work projects in 2024, it's reported Cheryl is open to finding The One and embarking on a new romance. The Fight For This Love singer's last public relationship was with Liam Payne, with whom she shares son Bear, six, with. The former couple called it quits in 2018, not long after welcoming their son into the world.

"Cheryl's had so many years out of the spotlight and now she's ready to step back into it," a source claims to Heat magazine, going on to allege the Promise This hitmaker has a few projected lined up alongside the upcoming Girls Aloud reunion. The source claims Cheryl has "her heart set on acting" and is already working on a book, after taking inspiration from the likes of Britney Spears and Coleen Rooney who both recently released memoirs.
When it comes to love, things aren't as simple to plan - with Cheryl reportedly "frustrated with her situation" at times. The source claims the Crazy Stupid Love singer finds it hard to meet single men and struggles with feelings of insecurity and a fear of "getting hurt again".
Cheryl's ex Liam caused major issues for her last year thanks to his tell-all appearance on Logan Paul's podcast, during which the former One Direction singer revealed intimate details about his ex-girlfriend and the birth of their son Bear. As he spoke to YouTuber Logan, Liam claimed son Bear's arrival into the world 'ruined' his relationship with Cheryl.
"To be honest with you, it ruined a relationship at that point – but for all the right reasons," Liam explained as he recalled his son's birth. "We broke up for a reason and now she gives me full autonomy over my life and I know he [Bear] is taken care of". Liam also went into detail about the Girls Aloud star's labour with their son, alleging she had "haemorrhaged".
Cheryl hasn't publicly dated anyone since she split from Liam just months on from giving birth to Bear but she is said to be hopeful her big career comeback might help move things along in her love life - with the source claiming "new opportunities" at work could see Cheryl introduced to new people.
However, Cheryl is said to still be wary of fully opening up to another man. "She knows she might be sabotaging herself but she won't risk getting hurt again," the source alleges. "She wants the right relationship with the right man."
