EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has hinted that two past favourites could be making a comeback to the BBC soap after posting a picture of him with the pair on social media.

The 29 year old actor, who first arrived in Walford in 2006 as Jay Brown, took to Instagram to share with fans that he reunited with Ricky Groves who played Garry Hobbs. And in a video he was seen with Bleu Landau, who played Sharon's son Dennis Jnr. Bleu was axed from the soap three years ago after playing his role for five years. In the video posted online, Jamie can be seen dressed casually in a black coat with his hood up along with a baseball cap.

Hugging Bleu, Jamie is seen telling the young actor that he's turned into "a man" now. He added: "He's all big boy, look he's got a beard and everything." And with the reprisals of characters including Cindy Beale, it is not out of the question that show bosses could pen his return. But he was not the only Walford actor to be seen with Jamie. In a separate picture, Jamie is seen with Ricky Groves, who played Garry Hobbs. He was in the soap between 2000 and 2009. And Jamie simply captioned his reunion with Ricky saying "legend".

Jamie recently found out that his former co-star Charlie Winter, who played Hunter Owen for a year from 2018, was his cousin. Speaking to The Sun back in 2019 he said: "My great uncle is called Charlie Winter, so when they said there was a kid coming in called Charlie Winter, I was like, 'Seriously?' Turns out we are second cousins."

And while he has been romantically linked to a few characters in the soap, in 2017 he revealed that he took a liking to Emma Barton who plays Honey Mitchell. Jay and Honey were together in the soap between 2021 and 2022, but their on-screen romance never spilled into real life, despite his co-stars encouraging him to make a move.

At the time, he told Digital Spy: "I was about 14 when I first set eyes on Emma Barton. I fell in love with her long, shapely legs and I wanted to marry her.Perry (Fenwick, who plays Billy) told me to chat her up, and I remember walking over to her and saying, 'Alright darlin'…, wow, you smell nice.' It brought the house down and we still laugh about it now."

He added: "I love working with Emma. I won't say what it is, but we have something in common that's very rare and very special that brings us together. I still try and chat her up and say that one day, we'll get married, but she's having none of it!" But it was a case of unrequited love as Emma candidly told the publication at the time: "He’s like my baby brother. I am so protective over him, it's unreal."
