Baffling Year 12 maths question leaves parents 'struggling' to find answer

Parents are often stumped by their children's homework and maths seems to be the area they struggle with most as formulas and rules have long since been erased from memory.

In Australia, Year 12 students are reaching the end of high school, so are usually between the ages of 17 to 18 years old and preparing to take their HSC (High School Certificate) exams - potentially in preparation to apply for University entry.

One of these exams will of course be maths and so a company called Cluey Learning, which provides face-to-face online tutoring for students in years 2-12 across all the main curriculum areas, has devised a maths test for parents.

The aim is to see if they can answer the questions at the standard their children will be expected to in problem solving and calculus equations. According to news.com.au, Cluey has found through their quiz that parents are sailing through the worded questions but "struggling" with the formulas because it's, "tough to remember anything like this from school".
