Mystery of village in Amazon region terrorised by ‘7ft face-peeling creatures’
Villagers in a remote part of Peru are said to be petrified of 7ft "yellow-eyed" beasts terrorising and trying to abduct locals.
The mystery incidents are said to be happening in San Antonio de Pintuyacu, in the Amazon Rainforest region of Loreto, Peru. Rumours began swirling a month ago that villagers were frightened, which inspired them to start patrolling the area every night.
Dozens of sightings are said to have been reported of the creatures and five acres of trees have been burned down to give locals a view of the area, reports Daily Star. Those responsible are said to be up to seven feet tall and wearing 'black body armour.' They are also said to be wearing oval-shaped helmets and have yellow eyes.
Documenting the strange occurrences explorer Timothy Alberino took to social media site X. He claims to have spoken to a 15-year-old girl who said she was caught by the mysterious creatures, who "put a syringe" into her nose and put numbing cream on her face. They then proceeded to make "two deep incisions into her neck" with a scalpel, before managing to pull on of their helmets off and escaping into the jungle.
After his trip, Timothy, who has lived in Peru for nearly 20 years, said: "We have completed the expedition to San Antonio de Pintuyacu. We were in the village for 3 days and conducted a thorough investigation. We delivered supplies and strategic technology.
Man in 30s dies after being stabbed in park sparking police probe"Let me be clear, I did not capture pelacaras (face peelers) on camera. My mission was to supply the village with strategic technology (including night vision goggles with recording capabilities) and investigate the phenomenon. The results of the investigation will be discussed in the forthcoming debrief.
"Although I cannot say for certain who the face peeler perpetrators are in Peru, I can confirm, unequivocally, that the phenomenon is real and ongoing. My hypothesis is that they are nefarious humans with reverse-engineered alien tech, and possibly working with a non-human faction. I did not experience the face peeler phenomenon myself, but I did equip the men of the village with night vision goggles that have recording capabilities. If they film something with the tech they will send it to me immediately."
Speaking to The Sun about his investigation, he added: "Everyone is very on edge, the men are in a state of heightened vigilance." But Timothy does not believe the sinister attacks are the result of aliens and local authorities have also dismissed the villagers' accounts, instead claiming it is likely to be human in origin.
He added: "Worst case scenario this is an international organisation of organ harvesters or sex traffickers who are in possession of top-secret hardware and they are using it to do something very sinister. I honestly believe that’s what were dealing with here." Police were reportedly called to investigate and are said to have the theory that the assailants were trying to drive off the locals to claim the land. They may have been using drones and other theatrics to scare them away from their village, say reports.
