How Britney Spears' memoir could impact *NSYNC's comeback has been revealed by an expert, following a slew of Justin Timberlake bombshells.

In October a string of bombshells were unveiled ahead of the Baby One More Time singer releasing her memoir titled The Woman In Me. Extracts of Britney's book were unleashed before the book hit shelves, with one excerpt touching on how Justin, who was the singer's then-boyfriend, "wasn't happy" when she told him she was pregnant.

In the book, Britney claimed that the Cry Me A River singer said they weren't ready to be parents, which led to her ending the pregnancy, which in turn led to some backlash. But how could the backlash that Justin has faced in recent weeks impact his boyband *NSYNC's comeback?

Speaking to Lynn Carratt from Press Box, the PR expert exclusively filled us in on how Britney's tell-all memoir and subsequent bombshells could impact the 90s and 00s boyband.

"Since his last number-one album, Man of the Woods, in February 2018, Justin Timberlake's career has been underperforming compared to the world domination we saw from him as a solo artist in the late 00s and early 2010s," Lynn told us.

She then touched upon his recent collaboration with Timbaland and Nelly Furtado on the track Keep Going Up, before he reunited with his old *NSYNC bandmates at the MTV VMAs in September.

The five-piece released their first single in 21 years, Better Place, for the upcoming Trolls Band Together movie, and rumours began to circulate that the band would be reuniting. "I was there for it," Lynn told us.

"But just as Justin was learning into nostalgia for a career peak, ex-girlfriend Britney Spears released her bombshell memoir - The Woman In Me, and she had some scathing things to say about Justin - that included him cheating on her and reportedly convincing her to have an abortion. She also accused *NSYNC of trying too hard to fit in with black artists," she noted.

"And while these revelations certainly impact his reputation, does this mean the chances of an ultimate '90s comeback from *NSYNC is over before it has even begun?" she asked.

But Lynn said "apparently not", going on to say: "Whilst Justin is said to be furious about his reputation taking a hit, it is reported that his bandmates Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and JC Chasez have been supporting him throughout the fallout. Lance Bass said in an interview that 'if Britney Spears can forgive Justin, the rest of the world can, too.'

"And this certainly seems to be true; on Wednesday night in LA, the band walked the red carpet together at the US premiere of the Trolls Band Together Movie, and Justin was all smiles in one of his first public appearances since the memoir's release."

Lynn concluded her expert analysis of the situation by telling us: "While he maybe going through a turbulent time at the moment with the revolutions, he hasn't spoken out publicly and is keeping his head down and getting on with his work.

"*NSYNC isn't just about Justin Timberlake; it is about five separate individuals, and the fans are still there waiting for the reunion announcement."
