Asking someone out on a date is notoriously tricky, and so embarrassing if it goes wrong. In the attempt to make a romantic gesture, if the tone is off, it can seriously backfire and can come off looking creepy. In some extreme cases, you could end up in jail. It might have been a good idea for folks to run their romantic gesture ideas by someone else before they get in trouble.

A woman took to TikTok to complain about a CVS pharmacist. Whose romantic gesture backfired when she claims, he unlawfully accessed her patient records and obtained her phone number, in order to ask her out on a date.

TikTok user Brooke (@capricornb1mbo) post a video where she shamed the guy for stepping way over the line. It showed her awkward reaction with her hand clasped over her mouth in shock at the forwardness of this man's actions.

Over the video, she wrote: “Thinking about that time the CVS pharmacist asked for my number and because I didn't give it to him, he got it from their system and texted me.” In the caption, she reiterates how creepy and unwelcome she found his actions: “Like babe, this isn't romantic. I would've given it to you if I wanted to.”

The video then goes to screen grabs of the text exchange she claims to have had with the pharmacist. Despite not being able to read all of the messages, as it’s partially obscured, it seems he admits he got the number from the pharmacy file.

“Omg this probably so weird but I met you at CVS and wanted to know if I could get your… You may never come back.” He wrote. TikTok users advised that Brooke shaming his behaviour online wasn’t enough and that she should have escalated the issue with CVS and were quick to slam his over-the-line behaviour: “UHM get him fired?? I work at a pharmacy and you legit can’t share customer or misuse customer information.”

Other women on TikTok shared their own similar creepy experiences: “I had a delivery driver from Amazon show up at my apartment after I didn’t answer his texts.” Another said: “This happened to me. The manager at the gym got my number from the system. Found out he was married. He tried to convince me it was an open relationship.” Another one wrote: “My pharmacist did this to me, it was so creepy.”
