The first of the Black Friday deals are here and users of deals website have spotted an incredible £1,200 potential saving on a state-of-the-art American style fridge freezer.

Shoppers have spotted an incredible deal on an LG Smart fridge that comes with futuristic technology including voice control, a screen showing the fridge contents and 'door in door' technology to allow you to grab items without opening the main doors. The smart fridge, made by tech brand LG, was previously listed at £2,100 but shoppers have found a way to buy it for less than £900.

Users of deals website HotUKDeals spotted the LG American InstaView Fridge Freezer listed for £999 on Sonic Direct's Black Friday sale. A user posted: "(This is the) Best price I've seen on this one so far! A few months ago it was posted at £100 more here"

Others quickly lined up to praise the fridge freezer, saying: "The water and ice maker is used every single day and is brilliant and like other have said it’s so so huge you’d never fill it."

Others praised the 'InstaView' technology that displays the contents of the fridge when you tap on the tinted glass. LG says this Prevents cold air loss, keeps Fridge temperature stable, saves energy and keeps your food fresher for longer.

Some shoppers were able to bring the cost of the fridge down even further using stackable discounts on the LG website itself. The fridge is listed at £1,300 on LG but holders of Blue Light Cards - available to emergency and NHS workers - to use the discounts on the card to reduce the price to £909. New members of the LG website can also sign up to get a further 5% off the price and bring it below £900 for the fridge.

The fridge freezer is one of the biggest discounts in the Black Friday sales so far. Black Friday takes place on 24 November in 2023 and major retailers such as Amazon are expected to launch their Black Friday deals from 17 November.

Currys has already launched Black Friday deals on American-style fridge freezers including £380 off a Samsung Series 7 fridge freezer, bringing the price down to £999. Meanwhile, Argos is offering one of the cheapest American-style fridge freezer deals on the market with the Fridgemaster now reduced to its lowest ever price of £480.
