Ex-rugby star Stuart Hogg has split with his wife and was pictured on a spa day with jockey Leonna Mayor - just days after he welcomed a fourth child.

The former Scotland international has been married to wife Gillian for the past seven years, with their latest child born this month. However, the Sun report that the pair have now split, with Stuart spotted with his new partner at Moddershall Oaks in Staffordshire.

Both Gillian and Stuart have removed “husband” and “wife” from their respective social media profiles. The report claims Gillian made no mention of her partner within her post welcoming their latest addition.

And just days later, Mayor - a former jockey - posted a snap of her alongside Staurt at a spa on her Instagram story alongside the caption “The least Mondayest Monday ever”.

It is claimed that Gillian has recently left the family home and took their children to her mum’s. A source quoted by The Sun said: “Gillian is heartbroken. How much does one woman have to take?

“The last thing any new mum would want is to see the father of her children flaunting his new relationship on social media. She just can’t wrap her head around the timing of it all.”

Hogg quit rugby ahead of this year’s World Cup in France in order to focus on his family life. Speaking in an interview with TNT Sport, the former Scotland star revealed: “I sit out here [in his garden], day after day, just thinking to myself, speaking to loads of different people.

“The amount of times I’ve broken down in tears because I thought ‘I have to keep going, have to keep going’, and the realisation that I couldn’t.

“I got to the stage in my rugby career that I was missing my kids growing up," he added. "When my son, who is seven, turns up to me, and I come home from training, and he's like: 'Dad, do you want to go outside and play football?' And I'm like: 'mate, I can't. I genuinely can't, like I'm absolutely beat'.

"His little face, and he's out in the rain... I sit there and I watch him, and he's on his own, and I'm like: 'this is absolutely breaking me'. I want to be there for my kids."

Away from representing Scotland, Hogg also played for the British and Irish Lions, as well as the Glasgow Warriors and Exeter Chiefs, throughout his career. Elsewhere, Mayor enjoyed a successful equestrian career between 2009 and 2013.

The former jockey-turned-presenter won 32 races in total but was forced to retire after an ankle injury. She worked as a showjumper before moving into media and was dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest jockey’ during a magazine interview in 2013. Hogg’s representatives were approached by Mirror Sport for comment.
