Anthony Joshua shows true colours with furious response to mouthy Jarrell Miller
Anthony Joshua told Jarrell Miller to “shut the f*** up” in an extraordinary verbal war of words between the pair during their respective fight announcements
The two-time former unified world heavyweight champion took part in a glitzy press conference in London ahead of next month’s Riyadh Season ‘Day of Reckoning’. His expected clash with Swede Otto Wallin was confirmed for December 23.
While he had time to have a short chat with his upcoming opponent, his back and forth with American fighter Miller stole most of the attention. Miller was due to fight AJ in 2019, only for the 35-year-old to fail three drug tests. He will fight AJ's compatriot Daniel Dubois on the Riyadh undercard, but reserved his harshest words for the two heavyweight headliners.
Speaking ahead of his bout, Miller said: “They’re going kiss my black a**, Deontay and AJ. I don’t like any of those mother f***ers, you know what I’m trying to say? But one thing I can tell you, once I’m finished with Dubois, I want Manuel Charr because he’s got that belt.
“These dudes got losses and there is nothing over there for them belts right now. I tell you one thing for a fact that AJ don’t want no smoke with Deontay.”

Joshua could not resist chiming in as he attempted to put Miller in his place. “Shut the f*** up,” he swiftly replied. "Don’t start with me, Miller. Miller, don’t start with me. You know I’ll come over there and slap you and I see you brought your mum yet again. F******* clown.”

Miller would not let the issue lie as he continued to stir hostilities with Joshua by attempting to tee up a future fight. He added: “We all know AJ don’t want no smoke with Deontay.
“As much as I like Deontay, I know Deontay will put that mother f***er in a grave. So, I’ll make it easy for you. You can fight Deontay and go to the grave or fight me and go to the hospital.
“Either way, you get you a** whooped. So pick your poison. Pick somebody that really can fight. Either me or Deontay, one of us Americans will whoop your a**.”
The verbal battle between the pair continued throughout Miller’s section of the press conference. “You are not doing nothing to me,” Joshua retorted. “Watch your mouth. Miller, watch your mouth. I’ll come over there and floor you.”
However, Miller was not quite finished there as he dragged up Joshua’s infamous defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr. at Maddison Square Garden back in 2019. He said: “You let my little cousin Ruiz beat you. You softer than baby s***. Stop running from me, stop running from Deontay. Man the f*** up and fight somebody with a heartbeat bro. Shut up.”
