A disgusted mum was left feeling "targeted" after finding a nasty sticker on her car window following a shopping trip to B&M with her young children.

The 24 year old mum had visited the B&M store at Tebay Retail Park, Bromborough, to buy Christmas decorations and returned to find a vile sticker on her driver's side window. The professionally-made sticker included a vile slur and said that the mum was not disabled. But she had parked in a parent and child space, and not a disabled bay.

Speaking on behalf of the mum, sister-in-law Stephanie Fitzpatrick told the Liverpool Echo: "If this person feels it is appropriate to watch someone get out of their car and apply a sticker with such vulgar language on a child's car then they need to have their head examined."

She added: "Disabilities aren't always visible, but even so, she was in a parent and child space. People around her think it's disgusting. The manager at B&M confirmed she was in a parent and child bay and told her 'don't let it ruin your day'. No one has the right to call out any disability or call anyone such disgusting language."

The heartbroken mum had to drive home with the sticker on her window, unable to remove it in the car park. She said it left a "horrible sticky residue" when she finally managed to get it off. The mum, who has two young children, has parked in the same spot before but never experienced anything like this. She labelled the sticker as "pathetic" and was deeply upset by the incident.

She now feels "targeted and watched". Stephanie shared her experience to ensure those responsible don't target others in the future. Stephanie has posted about the incident in local Facebook groups, hoping to identify the person responsible. However, she added: "It has put her off shopping there now and I'm sure it has put others off too."
