I'm A Celeb's Jamie Lynn dodges questions about Britney as she lands in Oz

Jamie Lynn Spears arrived in Australia tonight ahead of her I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here stint.

The actress and singer - best known as the sister of Britney Spears - is set to appear in the jungle for the upcoming new series of the show, which will be hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly. The Mirror exclusively revealed Jamie Lynn would be heading on the show, with bosses hopeful she might talk about her very public feud with her sister.

As she arrived in the airport, she kept quiet on her upcoming jungle experience, but did tell The Mirror it was her first time in Australia. She declined to say if her family were coming out and if Britney knew she was doing the show.

Wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap she then got into a waiting car. Staff on her United Airlines flight in from San Francisco were overheard praising the star in Arrivals. One said: "She was in my section, she was so sweet. She told us she was here for work."

Jamie Lynn is hoping to dispel misconceptions about her when she heads into the jungle later this week, as the show makes its return in just a few days time on Sunday November 19th with a stellar cast of 10 celebrities.

"There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don’t take any of it seriously. But I do think going on I’m A Celebrity will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be myself and do something really cool and have some awesome experiences in the meantime," she said, "I think my best quality is the fact that it takes a lot to hurt my feelings. Unless you are my children or my immediate family, nothing is going to hurt me. I can take a lot of s**t and it doesn’t get me down, so I really think it’s a good quality to have in a place where a lot of stuff is thrown at you!"

The Zoey 101 star is desperate to overcome her fears, which includes snakes, rats and heights, as she admits she is "dreading" the trials.

"Everything you’ve just mentioned (snakes, rats, heights) I am scared of. I am absolutely frightened of all of these things. Everything I have seen I have been afraid of. Absolutely every one of these trials I am dreading," she said.

"I haven’t looked at any of them and thought, ‘Oh cool, I could do that one’. This is going to be terrifying. Dancing with the Stars was such a wonderful experience but this is very different. This is all about personally pushing yourself."
