Charlotte Dawson says 'priorities' come first over wedding plans and future baby
Charlotte Dawson has opened up about her future wedding plans with fiancé Matthew Sarsfield - admitting that the pair have put their big day 'on the back burner' to focus on raising their two young sons first.
The former Celebs Go Dating star and social media superstar, 31, has been engaged with Matthew for over three years after he got down on one knee and popped the all-important question in September 2020. At the time of their proposal, Charlotte was pregnant with her first son Noah, and the lovebirds had been dating for four years.
At the time, Charlotte, who is now a proud mum-of-two, gushed over her excitement about becoming a fiancée in an adorable Instagram post. The sweet post included a wheel of glamorous photographs where the reality TV star showed off her huge sparkling rock and the newly engaged couple's smiles.
Alongside the photos, Charlotte penned: "OMG OMG OMG my darlings IM CHUFFIN ENGAGED!!!!! To the man of my dreams. I cant believe it!!! My baby, my life, my world, Matt couldn’t of done it better - he got on one knee at my dads statue!!! The day before we find out what gender our baby is. I can’t cope. My fairytale has come true and I feel the luckiest girl in the world. My dad got to witness me get engaged. I’m so happy. I love you so much. WOW! Look at my ring."
Now, over three years on from Matthew's romantic proposal, Charlotte jokingly told The Mirror that she fears her wedding day will never come 'at this rate'. Given that the pair have welcomed two sons, Noah, 2, and baby Jude, since Matt popped the question, their priorities have lay with them raising their children and getting to grips with parenthood.

"Hopefully we're going to try and sort out our wedding in the next few years. A wedding is definitely on the back burner for now. I've got so much going on at the moment with work and I'm up the walls.
"Everything seems to happen at the same time really. Obviously mum life is also so full on so it's definitely on the back burner for now but maybe next year we'll start planning properly and the boys will be a good age then," Charlotte added.
On her future baby plans, Charlotte admitted that she hopes to one day have a little girl who she hopes will be her 'mini me'. "I want to get the boys to a good age before then and you never know, maybe we will try for a little girl then. I'd love a little princess, I think she would be an absolute nightmare if she was a mini me though. At the moment though, I'm just enjoying life with the two boys."
Charlotte and Matthew's love story has been stronger than ever since their lockdown proposal. The pair weathered hard times together and even appeared on Celebs Go Dating for couples' therapy.
However, Charlotte was confident they chose the right time to have their first baby. She previously told OK! magazine recently: "I might have liked to go out and have a good time, but I know I’m going to be an amazing mum and will do anything for my baby."
It comes as the TV star and mum-of-two has today launched charitable Christmas toy drive. The popular personality is urging Brits to head into their local Hungry Horse pub and donate unwanted toys to disadvantaged children this year.
To mark the initiative, Charlotte unveiled a 450kg sack of presents in Manchester city centre to represent the estimated two million children who could go without a present this Christmas.
"As a mum, I know how much Christmas means to kids and how excited they get when it’s time to open their presents on the big day. No child should have to go without that moment of joy," she said of the campaign.
“That’s why I wholeheartedly support Hungry Horse's 'Toy Boxing Day' scheme and its mission to ensure every child receives a gift this festive season. If you want to make a difference this year, box up some pre-loved toys and get them to your local pub today."
