Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet take 'significant step' in their romance
Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet appear to have taken their relationship to the next level as they have begun publicly supporting each other at events.
The 26-year-old The Kardashians star was pictured attending the Saturday Night Live afterparty in support of Chalamet, 27, who had just hosted the popular show. This comes shortly after the Wonka actor made an appearance at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art to watch Jenner being honoured at WSJ Magazine’s 2023 Innovator Awards.
Relationship expert Louella Alderson says these public displays of support are a sure sign the couple feel ready to commit, as well as clearly value each other’s interests and very successful careers.
“Attending each other's work-related events can be seen as a sign of commitment and support in a relationship,” describes Alderson, who is also the co-founder of the dating app So Syncd.

Inside Stormi Webster's birthday bash with giant rainbow slide“Their public support of each other could also mean that they are becoming more comfortable being seen in public as a couple, which can be a significant step for any relationship,” she says. “It's possible that they have had conversations about their commitment to their partnership and decided to take it to the next level by supporting each other at events.”
The pair reportedly first met at the beginning of the year, shortly after Jenner split from her long-term on-off boyfriend Travis Scott, who is the father of her daughter, Stormi, and son, Aire. Romance rumours between them began to emerge in early April as sources said the duo were seen getting close at Coachella. Rumours hit a fever pitch when one of the reality star’s (many) Range Rovers was photographed outside Chalamet’s Beverly Hills home later in the month.
In September the couple stepped out in public together for the first time at Beyoncé’s star-studded birthday concert, where they were pictured kissing and staying very close the whole night. Weeks later they continued to send fans wild with very public displays of affection at the US Open men’s final. Later in the month, they were photographed holding hands and getting out of cars together in Paris.
Despite packing on the PDAs, they are yet to officially attend an event together or walk a red carpet as a couple, which Alderson says is likely to be because neither wants the media attention their relationship would receive to outshine each other's work achievements.
“Timothée hosting SNL and Kylie's WSJ Innovator Award were significant events in their respective careers,” she says. “It's likely they wanted people to focus on their accomplishments rather than their relationship.”
“Publicly supporting each other can be seen as a positive step in Kylie and Timothée's relationship. It indicates they are committed to their relationship and their future together, but they are still taking things at a comfortable pace.”
