Nintendo has confirmed an Indie World presentation for this week, with rumours pointing to the Outer Wilds Nintendo Switch port finally coming out after two years.

While there's unlikely to be another Nintendo Direct until 2024, that doesn't mean Nintendo is done announcing new Nintendo Switch games for the year. Earlier today Nintendo confirmed on Twitter that a brand new Nintendo Indie World Direct will be streaming this week. While you shouldn't expect any news on The Legend of Zelda or Super Mario during this presentation, there are sure to be some interesting titles included.

Here's everything you need to know about the Nintendo Indie World Direct for November 2023.

Nintendo Indie World Direct – start time and how to watch

The Nintendo Indie World Direct is set to kick off on Tuesday, November 14 at 5pm GMT / 12PM EST / 9am PST. Nintendo has confirmed that the showcase is set to last for roughly 20 minutes.

The event will be streamed live on the official Nintendo YouTube and Twitch channels:

  • Nintendo on Twitch

As always, the presentation will be available to watch after the stream has ended, so don't worry if you can't catch it live.

Nintendo Indie World Direct – what to expect

If you've paid attention to the last few Nintendo Directs you'll know that the leaker Pyoro has been accurately dropping info about Nintendo Directs in advance. Past calls included teasers for Super Mario Bros Wonder and the Super Mario RPG remake ahead of their reveals.

Earlier this morning, before the Indie World was even confirmed, Pyoro tweeted out "Finally we will be able to roast some marshmallows on the switch" which some users pointed out could be about the 2019 title Outer Wilds. When a user asked Pyoro to elaborate, they responded saying "Feb 2021 Direct" which just so happens to be the Nintendo Direct in which Outer Wilds was confirmed for Nintendo Switch. While the Nintendo Switch port has been significantly delayed from its original Summer 2021 release date, it looks like Nintendo Switch players will finally get to experience the game of the year-winning indie soon.

It wouldn't be an Indie World speculation piece without bringing up Hollow Knight: Silksong, the constant MIA sequel to Hollow Knight is one of the most anticipated releases in the indie scene. The last bit of info we got about the game was that it had been delayed from a first-half 2023 release date so we can only hope it finally rears its head again at Indie World.

As for me personally, I would love to see Pizza Tower make its way to Nintendo Switch. The Wario Land-inspired indie launched back in January and is one of my contenders for game of the year. We'll just have to wait and see this Tuesday.
