Tekken 8 is launching on January 26, 2024, and we know just about every character included in the roster. In case you needed a refresher, here's the full Tekken 8 character roster

After a jam-packed 2023 full of fighting game hits like Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1, 2024 is showing no signs of stopping as Tekken 8 is arriving on January 26, 2024 (with the Tekken 8 release date being confirmed at Gamescom 2023). Considering we're still over two months away from the launch of the game, it's surprising to be able to say we now know the entire Tekken 8 roster.

Although, that being said, the roster did leak out earlier this year, and was subsequently confirmed by the Azucena reveal and the Victor reveal. Bandai Namco also confirmed the final new fighter Reina in mid-November. Even though we know about everyone on the launch roster, we still have four DLC characters to come! We've compiled all of the info to bring you the entire Tekken 8 roster so far.

Tekken 8 full character roster

The full Tekken 8 character roster consists of 32 fighters, here's every character officially announced by Bandai Namco:

Newcomers

Tekken 8's character roster has three newcomers officially announced so far (two if you don't count the new variant of Jack). These are as follows:

Returning fighters

The majority of Tekken 8's cast is made up of returning fighters with every fighter barring Jun Kazama also making an appearance in Tekken 7.

DLC fighters

Tekken 8 is confirmed to be getting four DLC fighters in 2024, however, none of the upcoming fighters have been confirmed so far.

  • DLC fighter 1 – Spring 2024
  • DLC fighter 2 – Summer 2024
  • DLC fighter 3 – Autumn 2024
  • DLC fighter 4 – Winter 2024

These characters are included in the Playable Character Year 1 Pass which is included in both the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game.

Currently there are no leaks for who the DLC fighters may be. However, considering the sheer amount of legendary fighters sitting Tekken 8's launch out we'd be shocked if they didn't make up the majority of the first season of DLC. Notable exclusions include Bob, Miguel, Anna Williams, Lei Wulong, and Eddy Gordo.

Tekken 7's first season of DLC included guest fighters like Fatal Fury's Geese Howard, and Final Fantasy 15's Noctis Lucis Caelum, so there's always a chance of an unexpected guest to show up as DLC too. Although Tekken 7's launch roster had Street Fighter's Akuma, whereas Tekken 8 has no guests at launch, so perhaps Bandai Namco is moving away from guest fighters.

Considering Tekken 8 has a smaller roster newcomers than almost every Tekken game before it, we could see the DLC filling out some of that void, especially since later seasons of Tekken 7 introduced a number of new combatants.
