Inside Robbie Williams' jaw-dropping £17m home and bizarre basement renovation

Robbie Williams is currently embroiled in a bitter feud with his neighbour, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, over his new "super basement" project, according to reports.

The two music stars are said to have been at odds over Robbie's underground renovation, which includes an indoor pool, gym, and underground passage to the main house. The construction of the iceberg basement at the £17million London home finally got underway in May, and it seems that Robbie is doing everything he can to respect his neighbour's wishes.

The work is expected to take 46 weeks to complete. Robbie, who is filmed in the incredible property in his new Netflix documentary, and his team have introduced various measures to ensure that the noise and disruption are kept to a minimum.

One of these measures includes a traffic management plan, which means that trucks can only stop in a certain place at the side of the house – the furthest point from Jimmy – on set days and times, MailOnline reports. Robbie's team has also been instructed to use only "hand tools weighing no more than 9kg" at any given time, in order to minimise potential vibration from building works. In addition, Robbie’s team is using 19th-century hand tools and £50,000 monitoring devices to ensure that the noise is kept to a minimum for the work on the Kensington property.

Robbie, who is no stranger to making big changes, sold not one but two of his luxurious homes this year, making a total of £44.95 million in sales. The first to go was his seven-bedroom Wiltshire estate, which was sold for £6.75million in January. Next up was the family's ten-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion, which was snapped up by rapper Drake for a whopping £38.2 million in March.

But Robbie and his wife Ayda didn't stop there. In April, they put their stunning £24 million Swiss mansion on the market, before purchasing a £49.5 million home in the exclusive Holmby Hills neighbourhood in June. The new property, which once belonged to Funny Girl actress Fanny Brice, includes a main house and three separate guest houses, providing plenty of space for the couple and their young children.
