Daniel Farke makes Leeds influence clear with positive update on transfer wishes
Daniel Farke claims he has won over the players who considered leaving Leeds in the summer.
Wilfried Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville were wanted by Everton and Burnley respectively and Farke says he understands why players wanted to go in the wake of relegation.
But Leeds have won five of their last six Championship matches to climb to third in the table ahead of today’s visit by Plymouth and Gnonto and Summerville are happy at Elland Road.
Farke says everyone is now on board with what he is doing at Leeds. “There were many players thinking about moves when I arrived,” said the Leeds boss.
“I wouldn’t blame them, quite natural, there was interest in them and exit clauses. It’s quite normal to think about the best step in your career. It’s natural that you overthink what’s next because careers are short.
'Parents support strikes, kids deserve to be taught by teachers who feel valued'“But the more we work together, there was a sense that something new is growing here. The trust and bond are growing every day.
“It was tricky until the end of the window to be honest, but it was still growing. I was always convinced that the mid and long term plans of this football club would attract these quality players.
“All the praise goes to the lads because their spirit and togetherness is amazing so far. We want to keep that going. I think they’re fully switched and you can see it in the performances of the players.”
