Tamzin Outhwaite's ex-husband Tom Ellis welcomes baby with new wife

Tom Ellis has welcomed his fourth child, his first with wife Meaghan Oppenheimer.

The Miranda and Lucifer actor announced the news on Instagram on Friday, sharing the first snap of their beautiful baby girl. The couple, who tied the knot in June 2019, have called their daughter Dolly. She was born via surrogate on Wednesday.

"Our daughter Dolly Ellis-Oppenheimer was born on November 8th and within five hours of being alive, she single-handedly ended the SAG strike. We love her. Huge thank you to our amazing surrogate," he wrote, adding a pink heart emoji.

Tom is now a father of four, he shares daughters Florence, 15, and Marnie, 11, with ex-wife Tamzin Outhwaite, and also has a daughter named Nora, 18, from another previous relationship. New wife Meaghan also shared the news on her Instagram.

She attached a sweet snap of doting dad Tom carrying their newborn on his shoulder. Family, friends and fans flocked to the couple's comments to send their well-wishes. His Lucifer co-star Rachael Harris penned: "Oh hello Dolly! We have been waiting for you!"

Canadian singer Alex Sampson wrote: "Congratulations Tom!! This is so beautiful," and Odette Annable penned: "Ohhh congrats!!" While one fan commented: "Oh my goodness, I am so happy for you both!! Congratulations, Tom and Moppy!"

Another added: "Congratulations! What lovely news. Welcome to the world little one." Tom was married to ex-wife Eastenders actress Tamzin, 53, from 2006 until 2014. The pair met back in 2005 via mutual pal James McAvoy.

Tom and Tazmin divorced after he admitted having had a one-night stand while filming Gothica in America in 2013. Hinting at more marriage woes back in 2016, Tazmin said previously: "I wouldn't not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I'll say."

The actress has since moved on with new beau Tom Child, who's she's been dating for six years. Meanwhile, Ellis began seeing screenwriter Meaghan back in 2015, announcing their engagement in 2018. They tied the knot at the Grassini Family Winery in Santa Ynez Valley, California, in 2019. The two live together in the US.
