Reese Witherspoon and Kevin Costner wild couple rumour explained as rep responds
Reese Witherspoon and Kevin Costner were surprisingly reported to be "secretly dating" earlier this week.
Reports suggested the Yellowstone star, 68, an the Legally Blonde actress, 47, were sending fans wild in anticipation. However, it appears that the comments were purely speculation and have no truth to them. That's according to the Big Little Lies actress' representatives, who firmly denied any connection.
The representative poured cold water any romantic link, telling the Mirror: "This story is completely fabricated and not true."

The rumours came as Kevin was spotted buying gifts for a female. Fans were quick to question who the items were for before Reese's name became a surprising frontrunner. On Twitter, Naughty but Nice podcast host Rob Shuter even ran a poll asking if fans loved the "new couple".
The potential link comes after both of the Hollywood stars have been in messy divorce battles this year. Kevin recently settled his feud with ex Christine Baumgartner, to whom he was married to for 18 years.
The settlement came after months of battling which is thought to be set to cost the actor $75k-a-month in child support. Kevin and Christine share three kids together - Cayden, 16, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 13. - and Christine is said to have been hoping for closer to $160k-a-month.
Kevin also has four children with his first wife, Cindy - Annie, 39, Lily, 37, Joe, 35, and Lima, 27.

The former couple tied the knot on March 26, 2011 in a stunning ceremony in Ojai, California. At the time of their split announcement, Reese took to Instagram to say: "We have some personal news to share... It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce.
"We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together."
In August, the divorce was finalised and the pair have now gone their separate ways. It was Reese's second divorce, after she was married to Ryan Phllippe between 1999 and 2008. The pair share two children together; Ava, 24, and Deacon, 20.
