The wait for the new Call of Duty title is almost over, with Modern Warfare 3 officially launching at the end of this week. Here's exactly when you can start playing.

Modern Warfare 3 is the first-ever Call of Duty title to be released as a direct sequel, with the game's campaign continuing straight from where Modern Warfare 2 left off. And it's a similar story with multiplayer and Warzone integration too, with weapons, bundles, operators and other rewards that players have earned in Modern Warfare 2 carrying over into Modern Warfare 3 on release.

So, you've done you're Modern Warfare 3 preload and you're ready to go, but when does it become available to play? Here's the confirmed Modern Warfare 3 release time on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, wherever you are based in the world.

Modern Warfare 3 release time

Activision has confirmed via a blog post that Modern Warfare 3 will have different release times depending on your platform and where you're based around the world. On PlayStation and Xbox consoles, the Modern Warfare release time is 6am GMT / 1am EST on Friday, November 10, or 10pm PST on Thursday, November 9.

But you may be able to access Modern Warfare 3 earlier than this on consoles, as the game has a rolling launch across regions. For example, the game is now live in New Zealand on Xbox and PlayStation after having a release time of 11am GMT / 6am EST / 3am PST on Thursday, November 9 in that particular region.

For PC players (Battle.net and Steam), the Modern Warfare 3 release time is 5am GMT on Friday, November 10, or 12pm EST / 9pm PST on Thursday, November 9 across all regions.

When the game does go live, players will be able to jump into the title's single-player campaign mode, if they haven't already enjoyed Modern Warfare 3 campaign early access, as well as all multiplayer modes and Zombies, which is being introduced to the Modern Warfare sub-series for the first time. But none of the above will have any impact on Warzone, with the battle royale mode remaining as it is until the new Urzikstan map launches later in December.
