Black Friday deal saves shoppers £45 on Shark tool that's 'cheaper than Dyson'
Shark has launched a month-long Black Friday sale with up to £100 off on hair stylers, vacuums and more. The early deals mean beauty fans can get their hands on the FlexStyle multi-tool for less, just in time for Christmas.
With 74,000 people searching for ‘Shark FlexStyle’ each month and the hashtag #sharkflexstyle receiving over 392 million views on TikTok, this hair tool has gained popularity for being a more affordable alternative to the nearly-£500 Dyson Airwrap.
The Shark Flexstyle is our second top rated hair gadget, and still very much at the top of every beauty enthusiast’s Christmas list. And this Black Friday, shoppers can save £45 on the £299.99 , bringing down the price to £254.99.
The works in a similar way to the , using airflow to style and shape wet or damp hair as it dries, using lower temperatures than a styling tool which applies direct heat to the hair.
As well as the handle, it comes with attachments to dry, smooth, style and curl with ‘no heat damage’, including two different sized curlers, oval brush, FrizzFighter finishing tool, styling concentrator, storage case and alligator hair clips.

On the the device has more than 200 five star reviews. One shopper said: “I bought this Air Styler to compare with my Dyson Air wrap. I have since sold my Dyson, as I much prefer the Shark.
“I find the large brushes are better for me to blow dry and style. The Air Wrap barrels work great and I especially like the function to twist it back to a hairdryer when needed.”

I love using the brush to straighten my hair as it’s so much less damaging than straighteners and I also think the curler is amazing. However, some shoppers have had some teething issues with the device, with one saying: “All attachments are good but curls don't hold at all. Hopefully Shark will bring out different barrel sizes.” Another said: “While this is amazing product and a lot cheaper than the Dyson air wrap, and slightly disappointed in attachments with the air wrap you get 2 different size barrels for the curling as I have mid length hair with layers the barrels are too big not creating a curl...the round brush again is better made than the Dyson but again very big for hair.”
When I tested out the device for myself, I found it to be heavier than the and the buttons to be in a slightly awkward position in comparison to the easy-to-use Airwrap. The FlexStyle offers three heat and airflow settings, which can be changed with the buttons on the handle of the device. The Shark gadget measures its airflow continuously to ensure consistent temperature to avoid heat damage, too.
It performed well and definitely does what it says it will, drying hair quickly and curling in a very similar way to the Dyson, though I did find that my curls didn’t last quite as well. The main benefit is of course, the price difference, with the Shark now being less than half the price of the Dyson.

Cheaper still is the ‘build your own Flexstyle’ where you can choose up to four attachments for £229.49.
Elsewhere, hair tool rival including the Usually £399.99, the cordless device has been cut to £299.99, saving shoppers £100 on their usual price. And while the isn’t reduced, the retailer is giving away a free gift worth £125 with every purchase of the £279.99 highly-awarded dryer.
