Celebrity Gogglebox's Jeff Brazier unimpressed over son Bobby's 'fat' jibe
Jeff Brazier was left gobsmacked when his eldest son, Strictly Come Dancing hopeful Bobby Brazier, insulted his weight.
The 44-year-old reality star was left unimpressed when 20-year-old Bobby mocked his weight while they were discussing borrowing each others’ clothes. The father and son duo were appearing on the latest episode of Celebrity Gogglebox which saw them reviewing the week in TV.
Jeff - who found fame way back in 2001 on the Channel 4 show Shipwrecked - is a proud dad to two boys. He welcomed Bobby and younger son Freddie, born in 2004, with former partner Jade Goody - who died in 2009 aged 27 following a battle with cancer.
One the latest episode of Celebrity Gogglebox, Jeff engaged in a conversation with Bobby where he objected to the fact that both he and Freddy borrow his clothes. He huffed: “What is with you kids, why do you have to wear my pants? I never wear your pants, why would I wear your pants? For starters, they're too small”.
Bobby hit back with a cheeky comment, telling his dad that he wouldn’t be able to wear his or Freddie's clothes because he was “too fat”. Looking gobsmacked, Jeff replied: “You're not allowed to say that!”.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourBobby not-so-innocently asked “Why?” And Jeff replied: “Because I'm not [fat]. If you're anywhere near as fit as me at 44!”
Bobby is certainly in ship shape himself currently - as he is being put through his paces by dance partner Dianne Buswell as they continue to compete on the hit BBC reality show, Strictly Come Dancing. The EastEnders actor is one of the favourite’s to win the 2023 season and he has been rehearsing hard with Dianne and wowing the judges on the ballroom floor.
Bobby has confessed that trading and performing on the BBC show has been an exhausting experience. And at one stage in the competition, fans were concerned when he gave a lacklustre performance - however, he put his low effort down to being tired and worn out by the training.
Sparking on It Takes Two, he said: "Yeah, I was proper [deflated]. To be honest, I think it had less to do with the judges' comments. I was actually quite happy with the judges' comments. Strictly is a journey and I think I was just very tired and glad to have done the Tango and put that all behind me."
Bobby has also explained that training with Dianne has changed his life in other ways - as he has confessed he has fallen for his dance partner, despite her being in a relationship with YouTube star Joe Sugg. He said: "I could speak about Dianne all day. She's just a diamond — you know what, I'm falling in love with her. She's just great. I feel very lucky."
