Simon Cowell is beefing up his security with two German Shepherds after terrifying burglary scares.

The fearsome dogs are being trained and will be on patrol at the music mogul’s house in a few weeks. The X Factor judge, 64, already has five smaller dogs, including Yorkshire Terriers Squiddly and Diddly. A source said: “These two pets have been bought solely with security in mind.”

The Britain’s Got Talent star, who splits his time between the UK and LA, with fiancée Lauren Silverman, 46, and son Eric, nine, has had a number of security dramas. This year he sold his £10million Holland Park home for below the asking price after an alleged plot to break in using a decoder was foiled.

In 2015, serial burglar Darren February stole almost £1million of jewellery from the West London mansion. He
was jailed for eight years. Simon told the court he was scared for his son, adding the incident had been traumatic. He also said there is a constant fear it may happen again and be worse next time.

Simon has now relocated his UK base to the Cotswolds. The source added: “These new dogs will also help him and Lauren feel much more secure.”
