Priscilla Presley 'concerned' Michael Jackson married daughter 'for her name'
Priscilla Presley has opened up about what she really thought about her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley's marriage to Michael Jackson.
The daughter of the King of Rock and Roll married the King of Pop in 1993, but the marriage only lasted two years. In an interview with Piers Morgan on Talk TV, Priscilla shared her belief that Michael only married Lisa Marie because he was 'intrigued' by her father, Elvis Presley.
The 78-year-old shared that her now-deceased daughter used to confide in her about how Michael was never around. "She said, 'Mom, I'm really concerned,' this is while they were married, and she said, 'I never see him. He is always gone,'" she said.

Whenever Priscilla would ask about where Michael went, Lisa Marie admitted she had no idea, just that he would call her a few days later. Priscilla's motherly intuition kicked in, leading her to think that the Thriller singer just married her daughter "because she was a Presley."
Priscilla Presley vows to 'protect' grandkids on Lisa Marie Presley's birthday"I always felt that Michael Jackson loved Elvis, or respected Elvis, so I always felt that having the name, associated with the name with his daughter, I was concerned," she explained, "I felt that he was so intrigued about Elvis."
Priscilla added: "I never really got to know him." Lisa Marie first met Michael when she was seven years old when her father brought her backstage to a Jackson 5 concert.
Someone who worked for Michael claimed in 1994 that Lisa Marie and Michael stayed in touch after their first meeting on and off, but reconnected in 1992. During that time, Lisa Marie was married to Danny Keough and had two children with him, actress Riley Keough and her son Benjamin Keough.
A year later, Michael was accused of sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy. During that time he called Lisa Marie constantly and she became his support system. Some speculate that the two only got married to distract from the molestation charges.
However, they both claimed it was genuine. Michael's biographer, J. Randy Taraborrelli wrote: "Michael valued Lisa's settling effect on him, so much so that during his phone conversation, he posed a question that surprised both of them, 'If I asked you to marry me, would you do it?'… Without missing a beat, she replied, 'I would do it.'"
After divorcing Danny, Lisa Marie flew to the Dominican Republic with Michael, and the two were married in a fifteen-minute ceremony. The two divorced in 1995, citing irreconcilable differences.
