Channel 4's Gogglebox signs two huge comedians for new-look line-up
Harry Hill and Tim Vine are the latest big names guaranteed to bring some giggles to Celebrity Gogglebox and help raise millions in the process.
The Mirror can confirm the two comedians are to join the Goggblebox cast for the Stand up to Cancer special, which airs on Friday from 7pm on Channel 4. Before we see them on the sofa a little later, hosts Davina McCall, Adam Hills, Joe Lycett and Munya Chawawa kick things off with SU2C: The Takeover.
Harry and Tim will be joining viewer favourites Mary and Giles, the Siddiquis and Jenny and Lee for a night in front of the box and they're not the only big names taking part. Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade have signed up and will be appearing alongside Jennifer Saunders and her daughter Beattie Edmondson.
They're not the only ones to sign up with Nicole Scherzinger and Thom Evans on board (Channel 4)Nicole Scherzinger and her fiance Thom Evans are also joining the fun with actors Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters also letting us in on family life with their children, Grace and Alfie and there will be more surprise names added as a night of laughs awaits. Over the past decade Stand Up To Cancer has raised an incredible £93 million for lifesaving research.
Funnyman Harry jumped at the chance to lend a hand and said: “It’s been a while since I doled out my thoughts on the funniest, weirdest and best TV of the week and as a huge fan of Gogglebox I’m looking forward to plopping myself down on the sofa with a nice cup of tea and my good friend Tim Vine. So let’s raise a few laughs and hopefully loads of money too.”

Tim can't wait for the sofa session and said: “I’m really looking forward to appearing with my friend Harry on Celebrity Gogglebox for Stand up to Cancer. What a great idea it is to combine watching television and appearing on it into one easy action. I recently bought a new TV and once I got it home I spent the next five hours watching the box. Then I thought better of it and started watching the TV itself! Join us this Friday, and let’s stand up to the Big C together.”
Ab Fab legend Jen urged fans to dig deep and said: “Celebrity Gogglebox for Stand Up To Cancer is not just about spending time with my gorgeous daughter, Beattie. Laughter is a powerful force, and if our participation can bring even a twitch of a smile to someone's face, then it's an absolute privilege. Together, Beattie and I are standing up to cancer, and we're doing it with positivity, laughter, and hopefully some good jokes."
The brilliant night will climax in The SU2C Comedy Roast, an entertaining extravaganza hosted by Rhod Gilbert and featuring an array of comedy talent including Ellie Taylor, Danny Beard, and Nish Kumar. Comics Sara Barron, Thanyia Moore, Bobby Mair, Harriet Kemsley, Fatiha El-Ghorri and Larry Dean will also take part in a ‘roast roulette’.
