When searching for an ideal place to relax and unwind after completing a thrilling trek - The Tour Du Mont Blanc with the amazing charity Coppafeel - the Marriott Hotel in Regent's Park proved to be the perfect mix of comfort, convenience and luxury.

The stay was something I had been dreaming of all week from my two-man tent in the mountains - which ended with a cancelled flight and a very long day with my backpack in tow.

From the moment we entered our family room on the 5th floor, complete with a balcony giving us unreal views of London's skyline, we knew we had made the perfect choice. Not only did the hotel nail the comfy bed memo, but it's perfect location near London Zoo and Camden Market made our stay everything we wanted.

Let me tell you the delightful details of our experience.

Breathtaking Views and Convenient Location

Due to my flight cancellation, I was late getting into our room but my husband and two kids were living their best lives up in room 509. The long anticipated cuddles after a week away from each other were the best! After I'd picked myself up from the snug-fest on the giant bed, I stepped out onto the balcony to see all the lights of London. Magical!

We were a dreamy walk-through Primrose Hill away from our destination of London Zoo and Camden Market which made exploring the city's attractions pretty easy. We wondered for miles with the kids.

Comfortable and Cosy Family Room

The family room at The Marriot had 2 king size beds and still lots of space to roam about the room. We could completely relax and have dinner - I took advantage of room service and had pizza and ice cream in bed... hell yes!

The added touch of a balcony allowed us more room to take in the stunning views while enjoying some time together and we sunk into bed for a dreamy sleep.

Luxurious L'Occitane Toiletries

One of the highlights of the stay for me was the absolutely beautiful addition of L'Occitane toiletries in the room. What a treat after a week of tent life! I smelt so fresh and felt so soft. It's those little things which make you want to come back again. They'd even left gifts for the kids and treats for us. My husband and me kept looking at each other, whispering "bloody hell" we were so spoilt!

Delicious Buffet Breakfast

No travel experience is complete without a satisfying breakfast, and the buffet at Marriott Hotel Regent's Park smashed our expectations. There was a menu to choose from if you fancied something in particular, but the buffet more than covered it for us. Those mushrooms are probably up there with the best mushrooms I've ever eaten for brekkie.

The kids had pancakes, cereal, a fry up and fruit. Food heaven! With with our tummy's full and our hearts happy, we left our bags at the desk before checking out for an adventure in London. (I may have packed a couple of bananas and a pecan pastry into a napkin for snacks!)

Thoughtful Treats for Kids

Those of us with children know what a difference it makes when a hotel doesn't just 'cater for families' it really goes out of its way to make sure they've thought of everything. Travelling with little ones can sometimes be challenging (I'm being polite, sometimes it can be an absolute nightmare.) But the Marriott, Regent's Park made it a breeze. The hotel offered thoughtful treats for children, making sure that they felt a little bit special and excited during their stay.

If You Have Time For a Chill

They've got a spa, a fitness room and a pool. Sadly, I didn't have time to indulge in any of them, but these two loved the pool! You can look at what's available here.

The verdict:

Our stay at the Marriott Hotel Regent's Park was like an indulgent hug - warm and comfortable with a big dollop of luxury. From the gorgeous views over London to the family-friendly loveliness and perfect location, every part of our visit was meticulous. The comfort of the beds, the stylish bathroom, and the joy-inducing treats for the kids added an extra sense of fun. If you are seeking a luxurious and family-friendly stay in the heart of London, the Marriott Hotel Regent's Park is undoubtedly an excellent choice.
