Sadie Frost claims divorce and family tragedy led to Primrose Hill partying
English actress Sadie Frost has lifted the lid on her infamous Primrose Hill days in a new interview. In the 90s, a-listers gained a notorious reputation for heavy drinking and partying in the leafy enclave of north London.
Dubbed the Primrose Set - the hell-raisers included supermodel Kate Moss, Sadie Frost, Jude Law, Liam and Noel Gallagher, Meg Matthews, Davinia Taylor, Danny Goffey, Pearl Lowe and Patsy Kensit.
During their hedonistic heyday, actress Sadie Frost was married to married to British heartthrob and actor Jude Law, whom she wed in 1997, and was notoriously dubbed the 'party girl.' Frost met Jude on the set of the 1994 film Shopping and the pair later began dating. However, it wasn't meant to be, as in 2003, the couple, who share three children together, went their separate ways.

In an interview with On a Mission Podcast with host Ellie McKay in partnership with health retreat Amchara, the 58-year-old opened up about her past. She said: "I remember always being called party girl and I would be like, but I’ve been in, you know, for like three weeks. I’ve gone out to my friend's 30th, had a few drinks and then was home by 11, you know, or maybe even two. But yeah sometimes I did go out and get drunk."

"I actually just had a divorce and my father had died but you’re not thinking rationally when things happen to you and you’ve got post-natal depression and just want to get through the pain. So I wasn’t like a party girl in that sense it was just getting through situations like a lot of people do when they’ve had a bad time."

She shared: "I remember they said I was like, I was dating Lee Ryan and I'd never even met him or I was engaged to someone or and I hadn't even met. You know, they were just always putting you together with people.
"If you're a bit curvy, they say you were pregnant, you know, just, medical things, talking about your children, or your family, real intrusive stuff. So there were so many things that were just crazy and you'd read about things, that never happened. I can't believe they're even writing it. This is just, there's no truth in this."
