'Disgraced Boris Johnson signing a deal with GB News confirms he has no shame'

The sleazy Conservative Party is a Halloween horror show, depraved and looking nastier than ever.

The wave of Tory MPs being suspended over stomach-churning charges and subsequent lost by-elections is death by humiliation after humiliation. And, what are described as vile sexist messages between Boris Johnson and his former chief lieutenant, Dominic Cummings, will become public on Tuesday.

But the disgraced former PM signing a Fat Cat deal with right-wing TV channel GB News confirms he has no shame. From Partygate to a bad Brexit deal and lie after lie after lie, Johnson proves himself just like Donald Trump, incapable of telling the truth or treating people with respect.

Call ceasefire

With the death toll of Palestinians in Gaza put at 7,000, including thousands of children, and as Israel expands military operations ahead of a threatened invasion clamour for a ceasefire grows. The barbaric slaughter of 1,400 Israelis by Hamas was a crime and so too is the slaughter of innocent Palestinians by Israeli forces. Talks to release Israeli hostages seized by Hamas, another war crime, adds hope, but the collective punishment of Palestinians must end.

Targeting Hamas is justifiable but bombing all Palestinians in Gaza and denying them food, water, medical supplies and fuel is not. Sadiq Khan, Andy Burnham and Anas Sarwar have called for a ceasefire adding their voices to a majority of the public who want this mass killing to end. Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Keir Starmer should too.
