Eurocamp is opening 57 new parcs for summer 2024 - including one with NINE swimming pools.

Set between peaceful pine forests and the Adriatic Sea, Villaggio San Francesco in Italy has seven waterslides, a whirlpool and direct beach access to enjoy a variety of watersports. A three bedroom holiday home is available during the May half-term for £861. It is one of the new locations that is being opened by the cross-continent holiday firm for the 2024 season.

A recent €1billion (£870m) deal, in which Eurocamp acquired the Vacanceselect Group and tripled its campsite portfolio in the process, means customers of the company have a much larger choice when it comes to holiday destinations.

Among them is Bretonparc, Domaine d'Inly, which has a large indoor and outdoor aqua complex, Instagrammable turquoise water and six twisty waterslides. It is situated on the doorstep of beach La Mine d’Or.

Next up in Eurocamp’s newest offering is the quaint and relaxing Enmar Village in Costa Brava, Spain, which is less than an hour’s drive away from Barcelona, making it perfect for day trips. Kids can test out the aqua complex and multi-sports pitch on site, then head to the Blue Flag beach to get their adrenaline pumping with wakeboarding and windsurfing courses. In the evening entertainment comes in the form of flamenco dancers.

If you like the idea of romping around a campsite but prefer to stay in the UK, then the most affordable area is Bristol, according to a recent study. While you might have thought that borrowing a bit of field for a couple of days wouldn't be that expensive, often a pitch can cost well in excess of £30 for a single tent.

Outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com has dug into its booking data to find the areas in the UK which have the cheapest average costs for a night's sleep, so you can avoid getting stung.

If you are looking to head to a specific part of the country and then travel around visiting a number of different spots, then the breakdown could be a useful guide. If you're hoping to visit just one, then cheap individual sites can be found on the website.

Greater Bristol has taken the crown for the most affordable camping destination in the UK. The average Pitchup.com price for the perfect pitch for two adults is just £11.32.

This includes the likes of their picturesque Dagger Wood Campsite, a 34-acre park on a family farm in Clutton, just outside of Bristol. When you book a space here, 10% of the proceeds go to the Woodland Trust, helping to combat climate change and plant over 30,000 trees annually. Those staying here can enjoy the lush green surroundings from seating areas or fire pits, food foraging workshops and fitness bootcamp activities. Prices start from just £9 for two adults for one night. Find out more and book here.
