Taylor Swift has slammed an ex-boyfriend in a new song

Taylor Swift's 1989 has been given a new lease of life with Taylor's Version of the hit 2014 album being re-released today, with speculation rife over who some of the new songs might be about.

In one of the vault tracks from the album, the 33-year-old hitmaker has left listeners confused by the identity of one of her ex-boyfriends. Branding an ex a "lying traitor" in new song, everyone seems to be keen on uncovering the true identity of whoever broke Taylor's heart around a decade ago.

Prior to the original 1989 album coming out on October 27, 2014, Taylor had dated a string of famous faces including Harry Styles and Conor Kennedy, son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Much of the original album was thought to be about the One Direction heartthrob, so could some of the vault tracks be about him too?

In the song Is It Over Now?, which is thought to be about Harry Styles, Taylor sings: "Let's fast forward to three hundred takeout coffees later // I see your profile and your smile on unsuspecting waiters // You dream of my mouth before it called you a lying traitor // You search in every maiden's bed for somethin' greater, baby."

"I figured it out Is It Over Now? is the question Taylor wanted to ask Harry," speculated one fan on Twitter, which is now known as X. Another then said: "Is It Over Now? is DEFINITELY about Harry Styles."

A third then penned: "OK BUT ARE WE OK WITH THE NEW TAYLOR SONG AB [about] HARRY? Now we know for sure [the] question is ab [about] him cause Is It Over Now? confirms everything and links it all." While a fourth said: "Also, we all know who’s this song about. Sorry Harry, i still love you."

Others then noted that the lyrics: "When you lost control Red blood, white snow // Blue dress on a boat // Your new girl is my clone," could hint at Taylor and Harry's snowmobile accident and the famous photo of Taylor sitting on a boat in the Virgin Islands wearing a blue dress and black sunglasses after an alleged fight with her then-boyfriend.
