Former Health Secretary Matt Hancock gets two ribs broken in a tussle with Love Island star Teddy Soares on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
In another scene also being aired on the reality TV show on Sunday, the disgraced former Tory minister is called a “weasel-faced c***”. Teddy admits he “took out a lot of frustration on Matt” in their scrap on a pontoon in a lake during a challenge on the programme filmed in Vietnam.
Teddy, 28, said: “It felt amazing. I couldn’t bring myself to go back to the UK without having kicked his ass. I didn’t feel guilty.” He added: “When we got home, he messaged me and said, ‘You really did do a number on me’.” During another of the show’s tough stages, Matt, 45, is called out over his affair with aide Gina Coladangelo.

The pair, married to other people at the time, were caught canoodling – a breach of Covid social distancing guidelines. The scandal forced him to resign as Health Secretary in 2021. In Sunday’s show, Matt is stripped to his underpants while interrogator Debs – who some say resembles former Prime Minister Liz Truss – barks into his face: “You’re not a good looking guy, are you?
“Pubes on your chest, moobs, so how did you do it, Matty, babe?” After he replies with a sheepish “well”, a furious Debs demands: “What kind of a f***ing arrogant, c***-sucking answer is that, you weasel-faced c***?” Chris Oliver, a Celebrity SAS instructor watching from the sidelines, says: “If that was for real he’d be missing a few teeth by now.”

The Umpire overseeing the interrogation says: “That sort of attitude is not going to get him killed but it’ll get him a kicking.” It comes amid reports that MP Matt has quit as director of dyslexia charity Accessible Learning Foundation which he set up last month. A spokesperson for Matt said: “Matt has recruited a brilliant director to run it from its launch.

"He’s very excited about helping build ALF for the long term, and won’t be stepping back in any way. To say otherwise is utter nonsense.” Matt was paid £45,000 to take part in Celebrity SAS. He also received £320,000 for I’m a Celebrity... last year. His constituents were angry he filmed the ITV show in Australia instead of representing them.
