Jorgie Porter shares terrifying story of burglars trying to break into her home
Jorgie Porter has shared terrifying details about an attempted break in at her home in what she has branded a ‘planned’ robbery attempt.
The 35-year-old Hollyoaks actress became a first time mum towards the end of last year with the arrival of her baby son, Forest, who she shares with 35-year-old businessman husband Ollie Piotrowski. And the young family have recently enjoyed a trip to Spain to get some winter sunshine.
But upon returning to the UK this week, the actress - who has played Theresa McQueen on Hollyoaks since 2008 - revealed criminals targeted her family home. Jorgie claims that cables to her house were cut and an alarm was removed before the alleged burglary attempt took place.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Thursday, the soap star shared the troubling details of the incident. She said: “I’m really upset and really scared and angry that our house was almost robbed last night. People tried to get in.

Jorgie continued: “It’s really scary. I want to say thank you to the police for turning up really quickly last night – and how many there were. It actually made us feel a little bit safe. I’m just so angry. Why would people want to come – it’s just so upsetting. I hope nobody is put in this position because it’s really horrible. I hope they just get what’s coming to them.”
In the video, Jorgie looked troubled as she shared the frightening story. She had baby Forest sat on her lap who looked calm as he was held close to the star.
In recent weeks, Jorgie has shared her parenting experiences - and explained to fans and social media followers that she wanted to show all the sides of her parenting experience. She uploaded a snap of herself in a bathroom in the midst of dealing with changing her young son’s nappy.
Sharing the image, she wrote online at the time: "Thinking my page was looking a little too perfect so here’s a bit of insta reality. This is me praying to the gods for a way to get out of the toilet cubicle in one piece! Hangry hangry baby and a poonami explosion all over me, yes all over me! I had to call for reinforcements or I would still be sat there now. Parents tell me this has happened to you too??"
Fans have appreciated Jorgie’s honest approach to sharing moments from her life as a new mum. One fan responded to the image, writing: “Welcome to Patenthood, it will be in the bath next. Single mum to five and I've been weed, pooed and been sick on.”
