Strictly Come Dancing's Angela Scanlon was interrupted by Janette Manrara on spin off show It Takes Two, as dance partner Carlos Gu gave a one-word response about their dance struggles.

Angela and her pro partner Carlos were discussing their recent performance when an awkward moment happened. They were shown a message from a fan named Tracey, who praised their dance despite some criticism from judge Craig Revel-Horwood. The message read: "Don't worry you two! Judges ridiculously harsh I thought. I loved your beautiful carefree dance... I immediately rewound it to watch again... such joy! Fingers crossed the rest of the public saw that too!! Well done!! xxx".

Janette then said to the pair: "We need Tracey to be a judge." But as Angela started to speak, Janette cut her off to ask Carlos a question. Carlos was asked by Angela: "Tracey mentioned how harsh the judges were and I know Craig gave you a little bit of a mention about how he thought you had run out of ideas at the end of the routine. How do you wanna respond to that?"

Carlos replied with a single word: "Rude." He then added, laughing: "No! I love you Craig! It's just personal. The choreography level is very personal. I'm personally thinking that the best way for us is... it's just personal." Angela responded: "It felt really personal. I felt like 'say whatever you want about my heels but don't you mess with [Carlos]."

"It was supposed to feel dreamy, it was part of the story." This week, the pair will perform a Pasodoble to a version of Swan Lake for Halloween week. When Janette asked if this could be their 'swan song', Carlos confidently said: "We're not going anywhere." Carlos also mentioned that he had put together a routine that was 'at professional level' before Janette stepped in to clarify: "Just saying, she's not, all right?"

It may have have been a slight dig, referring to the 'fix row' with Angela who has previous dance experience. Angela, 39, is a well-known TV presenter from Ireland with a background in professional dancing. Before her television career took off, Angela was an accomplished Irish dancer, travelling globally to compete. She trained with the O'Shea Irish company and even performed on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast in the early 2000s, where she was snapped alongside fellow Irish singer-songwriter Ronan Keating.

Don't miss Strictly Come Dancing's spooky Halloween special on Saturday, October 28 on BBC1.
