Sell-out 60s pinny dress from Nobody's Child that's a 'no brainer' is back
Fearne Cotton's best selling pinny dress - the Black Piper Cord Pinny Mini Dress - is back and shoppers are wasting no time in putting this sell-out item straight in their shopping baskets. And we can see why - in its first 48 hours, the dress sold out and has been restocked multiple times since, causing shoppers to go into the fashion frenzy.
Ranging from a size 4 to 18, the cord mini dress is a gorgeous throwback to the sixties with its loose fit, v-neckline and cotton material. Plus, it has pockets - us women love pockets. The dress is also sleeveless making it a gorgeous statement piece for layering over, say, a white roll neck - in winter, layering is a must and so this dress is a winner if you still want to look stylish and cute and keep warm.
Coming in a range of different colours - green, red, black and poppy print - the dress, since its restock some days ago, has been trending and shoppers are rushing to snap up this lush little number. And not just on the Nobody's Child site, but on other stockists too, such as M&S and John Lewis.
The presenter is a bit (ok, a lot) of an icon when it comes to fashion - especially fashion that's quirky, bold and a little bit out there and when Fearne Cotton first partnered up with Nobody's Child last, she explained the premise behind their collaboration: “For me, fashion is as much about clothes that make you feel good as ones that make you look good. That’s why I’m proud to have partnered with Nobody’s Child – a brand that shares my views on responsible fashion.
“Together, we’ve created a collection that is all about having fun with your clothes and dressing in a way that makes you feel empowered.”
Kate Middleton swears by £19.99 rosehip oil that helps 'reduce wrinkles & scars'With this classic pinny dress being made from 100% BCI cotton, it's no wonder fans of the £55 dress - which has been restocked over three times since it first launched in 2022 - can't stop raving about its versatility and comfiness.
One said: "Reminiscent of the 60 s great style well made and comfortable to wear I love it!"
Another added: "Looks great with a top underneath or without. Great fit, comfortable yet chic! Light enough for summer days but will be great in winter with tights and boots."
A third stated: "Just ideal for my daughter - will be great over jumper and leggings, keeping warm but looking good too - no brainer! Also has pockets, we love pockets!"
If £55 is a smidge too steep, there are a handful of other high street stores whose gorgeous pinny dresses will transport you back in time to the swinging sixties. New Look's Khaki Cord Mini Pinafore Dress is £26.99 and has been described as "really flattering".
Sainsbury's brand Tu has a classic V-Neck pinafore dress that's got more of an A-line fit - plus, it's a winner if you're not a fan of cord as it's made from viscose, nylon and elastane. For something a smidge more casual, Fat Face's tie stripe pinny is £32 (on sale from £56) and comes in two different lengths - regular or long.
However, if the cost isn't too much of a bother but you're more of a crew neck girl, then Joanie Clothing's Daphne Patch pinny dress (£65) is your dress. Like Nobody's Child's dress, it's also made with super soft BCI Cotton and has stretch for added comfort.
